AppealAngle ("AppealAngle," "we," "us") operates the website at appealangle.com. This policy covers the information collected through this website today. AppealAngle is in final development and the appeal-building product is not yet operational — so, for now, the only information we collect is what you choose to give us through the forms on this site.
What we collect on this site
We collect only the details you enter into our forms:
- Signup / reservation form: your name, your email address, an optional phone number, an optional organization, and the plan you selected.
- Contact form: your name, your email address, and your message.
We do not require you to create an account to browse the site, and we do not ask for health records, denial letters, or medical information through these forms.
No payment card details
We do not collect payment card numbers or any billing card details anywhere on this site. Because the product is pre-launch, no charges are made and no card information is requested or stored.
How we use your information
The information you submit is stored in our customer-relationship management system (our CRM) and is used for one purpose: to contact you about AppealAngle. That includes replying to your message, letting you know when early access opens, and following up about the reservation you made. We do not use this information for unrelated marketing from other companies.
We do not sell your information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not rent or trade it. We share it only with the service providers that help us operate this site and our CRM (for example, our form-processing and email infrastructure), and only so they can perform those functions for us. We may also disclose information if required by law.
Access and deletion
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email [email protected] and we'll take care of your request. We may need to confirm your identity before acting, to protect your information.
When the product launches
The appeal-building product is not yet operational. When it does launch, it will handle far more sensitive information than this site does today — such as denial letters and medical records you choose to upload. We've designed that handling to keep as little of your data as possible:
- Records are encrypted in transit and at rest.
- They are processed under a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) with zero data retention.
- They are never used to train AI.
- They are deleted after your appeal packet is built.
We'll publish the full details of that handling before the product goes live. Until then, none of it is active, because the product itself is not yet available.
Our legal status
AppealAngle is a direct-to-consumer service. We are not a HIPAA-covered entity, and we do not claim to be. The privacy protections described here are commitments we make to you directly, not a representation of HIPAA-covered status.
Your rights under state privacy laws
Depending on where you live, state privacy laws — such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA) and the Washington My Health My Data Act — may give you rights over your personal information. These can include the right to know what personal information we hold about you, the right to access or delete it, the right to correct it, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To exercise any of these rights, contact [email protected]. We will respond within the timeframes those laws require.
Children
This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information, contact [email protected] and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we'll change the effective date at the top of this page. Significant changes — especially those tied to the product launch — will be described clearly rather than buried.
